How long have you been a published author and what’s your main goal for the future?
I have been a published author for a little under two years, and I still have to pinch myself that it ever happened. I love reading and writing, to me, it’s just like reading a book. I write and the story unfolds, the characters become real. It’s great, and I hope the future sees me creating more stories that people will enjoy sharing with me.
What’s your pick for the most sensuous food combination?
Chocolate and a cup of tea. Sounds weird, but I treat the chocolate like a biscuit and dunk it. It goes all melty and gooey, the taste then explodes in my mouth in a delicious explosion. Ahhhh. Now I need a cup of tea.
Have you ever included a handicapped character in your writing? If so, what book, the character’s name, and were they sexually involved in the novel.
I have included a handicapped person. She was blinded by a werewolf at the beginning of my story. Her name was Jordanna, and the book was named for her. It’s in my Eminence Shifter series. One of her mates is the paramedic who attends her after the werewolf attack, and she has to cope with permanent blindness as well as adjust to a life where shape shifters are real.
She has four cougar shifters as mates, and she is sexually involved with all of them. It made the relationship special as she had to learn to trust her other senses as she grew to love her four men. Plus it was unique for them men as well, dealing with life, and later a child, with a visually impaired mate. I loved writing it, imagining how Jordanna would feel or cope in a given situation was a challenge as a writer.
If you were to get a tattoo that represented your work, what would it be and why?
I’ll apologize in advance if this is sappy, but I’d like a tattoo of an angel’s feather. I haven’t yet published a book about angels, but I have one in the works. They are my favorite paranormal, and I’ve been afraid I wouldn’t do them justice, so have been hesitating in tackling a story involving them. I haven’t ever had the tattoo for the simple reason that it may be a representation to me of an angel feather….. but it would just look like a feather to everyone else.
Have you ever learned anything new from an erotic book and used it on your significant other. If so, explain?
How to perform a blow job. I took reading my first few MM novels as research, and saw a common thread that all the authors used to describe the act, then tried it out on my significant other. I’ll say it was a roaring success, my husband was happy, and I discovered I enjoyed reading MM romance. A win-win.
We’ve all heard the stories about celebrities being stalked, or worse. What’s your biggest fear about being in the public eye (now or in the future) and why?
I worry about my job ever finding out I write erotica as the business is owned by a church group. I know I don’t write anything illegal and Erotica is definitely not porn. I would just hate to be put in the situation where my superiors became aware of my other job.
Name a celebrity who looks better clothed than naked/half-naked, and why?
I’ll say Channing Tatum. That man looks hot in anything. I love him in a tux, in board shorts, or anything in between. he has great abs and pecs, so the focus is ALL on them when he has his shirt open, or off. A truly drool-worthy man.
In your opinion, what would be the unsexiest animal for a ‘Shifter’ character to turn into, and why?
A turtle. Or a tortoise. they move slowly and the live in a shell. Sort of hard to have a human mate and take them back to your cool shell. A cougar could have a fully pimped den. So could a wolf and lion. But a turtle? And what sort of supernatural power would they have in their human form. A love of lettuce? No. I wouldn’t write about a turtle shifter. Or a tortoise.
What’s the oddest physical/mental attribute you’ve given to one of your characters, and why?
My demon can manipulate elements. He can turn rock into lava. Freeze the water molecules in a person’s body- a yucky death. He can also travel huge distances by bending space. I love my demon powers.
I needed someone who could beat all other supernaturals, but was still human looking. My demon was born of that and he sort of stole the book, even though he was supposed to be an ancillary character. I have his book in the works now. His name is Brody, and he’s introduced in Fighting heaven for Love (Pine Falls 2)
Office Sex, Rooftop Sex, or Haunted House Sex — which one would you rather do, and why?
Definitely office sex. Not the bum on the photocopier type, but the sweep the papers off the desk and have me instead- type of sex. I’d love to fulfill a fantasy in the office, too. The classic- give my man a blow job whilst he’s on a conference call. Hey, I just got an idea for a new scene in my book!
