How long have you been a published author and what’s your main goal for the future?
I’m a newbie. I’ve been a published author for just under a month. (Yeah, that long – lol). My first novel, Tangled Web, was released on February 12th. My main goal for the future? I don’t really have one. Crazy I know. I don’t live my life with plans and goals. I take life one day at a time and try to make it the best that I can. I guess if I have one goal is to have a happy life with my family and continue to learn and grow and let my writing lead me down this new and exciting path I’ve found myself on.
What’s your pick for the most sensuous food combination?
Strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. To some that would probably be the most obvious choice and somewhat boring but I think strawberries are stunning. Plus, it’s not what you’re eating. It’s all about who’s feeding you this sensuous food 😉
If you were to get a tattoo that represented your work, what would it be and why?
This is actually something I would like to do by the end of the year. I wouldn’t like anything too flashy. I think I would like an artistic feather pen and ink bottle tattooed at the back of my neck. For me tattoos are a way of representing something that is important to you – something you don’t want to forget. I would be honoured to have a mark of a writer on me.
I have 2 tattoos at the moment. A daisy on my right arm with my zodiac symbol; Leo. I also have a flaming phoenix on my right forearm from the wrist up. This is my favourite tattoo – no matter how much I get teared down, I’ll always rise and get back up. In the next few weeks I also plan to have my fur baby tattooed on me.
What professional ‘Mainstream’ author would you like to see go full Erotica in a novel and why?
I would love to see James Patterson and Veronica Roth to full Erotica. James Patterson is my favourite crime author and I would love to read an erotica book by him. Alex Cross with a paddle? Yes please 😉
I also love the Divergent books and films by Veronica Roth. The actor that plays Four is very sexy and would just love to read Divergent with a bit of erotica thrown in the mix.
If you were to see a couple arguing to the point of violence, what would you do, and why?
Violence in couples is something that really bothers me. My mother was involved in a domestically violent relationship and when I see couples arguing heavily I can’t pass them. I have this worry over what could be happening when that couple goes home. Is she okay? Are they still arguing? Or possibly is he okay? Violence in relationships is not always directed at the woman. Sometimes it can be directed at the man. Plus it’s not only the physical scars that are left behind. Emotional abuse can often be worse. It can leave scars that can’t be healed like a bruise or a cut.
So, if I saw a couple arguing to the point of violence, I would contact the police and make a report. Maybe it would make it worse; maybe not. But at least I would know I tried and not just stood by silently. Silence only helps the aggressor, not the victim.
If you were to try BDSM for the first time, would you be a dom/domme or a submissive and why?
Submissive, definitely. I think being a dom/domme you need to have that “take charge, I’m in control” persona. I don’t have that. LOL. I’m a softie. Can’t make a decision to save myself. I sway back and forth several times. I’d make a terrible dom 😉
Name a celebrity who looks better clothed than naked/half-naked, and why?
I may get some boo’s from this answer but Jamie Dornan. Jamie in a suit is sexy as hell. Out of a suit? Nope. Just doesn’t do it for me. I think it might be that he’s too skinny. Skinniness just isn’t sexy. I prefer curves and muscles to bony any day of the week.
What’s something in your daily life that makes you sad, and happy, and why?
Since becoming an author I’ve realized how important reviews are to authors. What has really surprised and saddened me is how many authors that I thought were genuinely good have been ripped apart on reviews. I understand reviews is that person’s opinion but I just personally could not tear down another person’s novel. If I didn’t like a book I would simply either A) not review at all or B) try to state something positive.
What makes me happy? Whenever I’ve had a bad day or in a really bitchy mood that I need to get out of ASAP if I want my family members to continue talking to me. I watch Minions. That’s right – the little yellow men. Minions always makes me laugh and cheers my day right up. Yes, I’m a big kid 😀
Which popular phrase best defines your writing and why —- “Do Unto Others as they do unto you”, “Kill ’em all and let God sort them out”, or “Why can’t we all just get along.” (If you have a better phrase, feel free to use it.)
I think my writing style is more of a mix of “Kill ‘em all and let God sort them out” and “Why can’t we all just get along”. I like to have a mix of different characters and feelings in my novels. That way the reader – or myself – never gets too comfortable and it keeps you guessing then. Even as the writer I have no clue what my characters will come up with next.
In your opinion, what would be the unsexiest animal for a ‘Shifter’ character to turn into, and why?
A camel. Haha. Have you ever seen a camel in person? Not sexy or cute. They spit, make horrible noises and, as for their appearance, they don’t look as exotic as they do on the television. Massive lumps on their backs and depending on the season they can have massive clumps of hair hanging from them.
Imagine for a second Alcide from True Blood turning into a camel instead of a wolf? Yep, hotness factor would go way down.
Have you ever read a sex scene in an erotic novel and said to yourself – WTF? (Explain w/o divulging the book or writer.)
Yes – I’m not going to give any clues as to what it is because 99.9% of people would guess straight away. When reading it though I just kept thinking “That is flipping disgusting and I would kick him in between the legs if he ever did that to me”. LOL
Office Sex, Rooftop Sex, or Haunted House Sex — which one would you rather do, and why?
Rooftop sex definitely. Especially if you’re on the right rooftop. Imagine it – summer night, under the stars, so romantic (if you’re with the right one). Office sex would be so distracting watching the door waiting for someone to catch you in the act. Haunted house sex would also be a big no-no. I’ve seen enough horror movies that if a couple are having sex in that film then Jason or Michael Myers is right around the corner.
Now, Take a Look at Lizzie’s Book ~~~~~
SYNOPSIS — “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!”
At the top of London’s ivory towers business is ruled over by the Walker and the Johnson families. There is no competition. No battle. It is all out war.
When Chloe Johnson – the baby of the Johnson family – decides to move back home to London there was one rule: Stay away from Nathan Walker. One problem with that.
Nathan Walker wants her. Nathan will get her. Nothing will get in his way until Chloe becomes his.
By Tonya on February 19, 2016 Format: Kindle Edition
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I was hooked from the first chapter. Rival families, a forbidden love and someone from the past lurking in the shadows~who could want more? I LOVE Chloe. She is strong and knows what she wants, even if it costs her her family. Nathan is the man we all dream of. Tall, gorgeous and the body of a god. Chloe and Nathan’s forbidden love is far greater than the feud between their families, which costs both of them the love and respect of family members. Lurking in the shadows is someone from Chloe’s past, who wants her for his own. Will true love conquer all? Ms. James has created such a great series. Her writing is impeccable and the hot, steamy scenes were scorching HOTTTT 😉 I look forward to reading more from this author.
