Now, Take a few Minutes to Read My Interview With Jacqui !!

If you were to get a tattoo that represented your work, what would it be and why?

I already have one. It’s my only tattoo so far, but it’s an open book and the pages turn into birds rising up. I have the word ‘Passion’ tattooed under the book because it represents not only my passion for books but the title of my paranormal series, the Passion series.

If you were to see a couple arguing to the point of violence, what would you do, and why?

I would probably call the cops if it was bad enough or get the attention of someone who might be able to help. I doubt I would step in and try and break it up. I have a fear of people fighting and arguing and can actually become physically ill given I grew up around violence and abuse.

If you were to try BDSM for the first time, would you be a dom/domme or a submissive and why?

I think I’d be submissive. I had a very strict upbringing so I don’t actually like being told what to do, but in the bedroom I kind of like the man being the one in control.

We’ve all heard the stories about celebrities being stalked, or worse. What’s your biggest fear about being in the public eye (now or in the future) and why?

I’m actually quite shy, I always have been, but on line gives a person a certain sense of anonymity. I think if I was in the public eye, my greatest fear would be to be judged by others and not seen as good enough. This insecurity stems from an abusive childhood though, so although I’m now an adult I still have this fear of not being good enough.

Which of your character’s names would be best suited for a porn star, and why?

Probably Flame from book 4 of my Passion series, Passion and Fire. Of course with a name like that she’s a red head with wild, curly hair and a fiery attitude to go with it. I guess porn star names always seem to be something a little out of the ordinary.

What’s something in your daily life that makes you sad, and happy, and why?

At the risk of sounding kind of cliché, I’d say getting a good day’s writing in makes me happy because I feel like I’ve achieved something that way, and not really having any support or encouragement from my partner for my writing makes me sad. He doesn’t understand how important it is to me, how much enjoyment it gives me and the distraction it provides from the chronic pain I suffer, and I really wish he would get behind me more and lift me up, not put me down.

In your opinion, what would be the unsexiest animal for a ‘Shifter’ character to turn into, and why?

I haven’t really read any Shifter books but I’m assuming the animal should be something large and aggressive, so I’d say a bear. That’s not my idea of sexy. All that hair and lumbering action, not to mention the temper, just doesn’t strike me as the sexiest animal to turn into.

Have you ever read a sex scene in an erotic novel and said to yourself – WTF? (Explain w/o divulging the book or writer.)

I’ve read a few books that have that WTF effect on me and it’s hard to explain without the risk of someone maybe realizing what book it is that I’m referring to but one of the biggest turn offs for me in a sex scene is when the author invents words for genitals. There’s really only so many words we can use that work and when I see references to holes being filled by large muscles and lady gardens needing plowing, then I don’t know whether they’re pouring concrete or preparing to plant crops.

What’s the oddest physical/mental attribute you’ve given to one of your characters, and why?

I don’t think any of my characters have had anything really odd. I guess with my Passion series, they were vampires, but the women in their lives had special talents, telekinesis, mind reading, seeing the future, moving things with the mind and one was able to inflict pain by thought or by making the move with her hand as in with a sweep of her hand, it would cause a cut to open in the skin of the person or vampire she was doing it to.

Office Sex, Rooftop Sex, or Haunted House Sex — which one would you rather do, and why?

I’d have to say Office sex given I’ve done it years and years ago. I think in my case it was the fact we were working in the evening so the day staff were gone and we could make use of every surface, knowing that in the morning, the bosses and other staff would be there, where we’d been, none the wiser to what we’d done.

Now, Her Books ~~~~~

DIAL A STUD (DANTE’S STORY BOOK ONE) Jacqui Melville 2

SYNOPSIS — Sexually frustrated Grace was tired of dead end relationships, or men that were dead in the sack. Where were all the hot and sexy studs, instead of the duds? That was the question she asked her best friend, and housemate Mel, frequently.
Then they saw the ad in the paper, Dial A Stud for all your sexual fantasies. It sounded perfect, or it would be, if either of them had been prepared to call.
One night while at the club with her friend, Grace meets a gorgeous man, but since she’d made a pact with Mel, not to bring any man home with her, she reluctantly walks away from him. In an effort to purge him from her mind, she impulsively calls Dial A Stud one evening, while home alone.
Enter Alex and Dante, the two masked, hot and sexy studs, determined to give her everything she could dream of sexually. They gave her a night to remember, a night unlike anything she’d ever experienced before, and they gave her the fantasy. There was something about Dante though, the sexy Italian that stirred her emotions. What was it about him? Why did he seem vaguely familiar?
When she learns of his deception to get closer to her, she’s angry at first, until she has a change of heart, and goes to see him, wanting answers.
Finding him sick and feverish, she stays to nurse him back to health. As they spend time together, their relationship begins to blossom. Grace learns so much about this incredibly sexy man, and realises there is far more to him, than she could have ever realised. It is during her stay with him, that he reveals something that will change everything, between them forever.
Just when it looks like there might be hope for their future, Grace’s old insecurities surface, and she knows she can’t keep her secrets from him indefinitely. Dante’s lifestyle is more than she ever dreamed it could be, and it only adds to her fears.
Will Grace overcome her feeling of not being good enough for him? What will he do when he learns her secrets? Can they overcome all that threatens their relationship and have a future together?

Please Note: This book is Book 1 in the Dial A Stud series. Each book is a standalone novel. It will not be necessary to read them all or to read them in order.

DIAL A STUD (LOUIS’ STORY BOOK TWO) Jacqui Melville 1

SYNOPSIS — What do you do when nobody wants you…..?

Harry was tired of being used, abused and taken for granted by men. Surely he deserved better than to be cast out like last night’s leftovers?
All his life he’d been treated like that. When he’d come out to his parents about being gay, they’d reacted by throwing him out, not wanting to acknowledge a homosexual son. They even went so far as to pay him a monthly allowance to keep him out of their lives. What was wrong with him? Why didn’t anyone want him?  One night at the club after being dumped by his boyfriend, he thought he might find the answer in the bottom of his wine glass, or at the very least, drown his sorrows in it.

They say when one door closes another opens or something like that…….

Enter Louis; tall, handsome, confident and sexy. Louis makes Harry feel like he’s never felt before. He also makes him want to break all his own rules, deciding a one night stand with this stunning man is a good way to get over a broken heart or distract him from it at least.  The attraction between them is instant, their passion intense and Harry realizes every sexual encounter he’s ever had is insignificant in comparison to how Louis makes him feel. Louis is older, wiser, so much more experienced than Harry. He also has a wild past, a past Harry can only imagine. The emotions he feels around Louis both give him strength and bring out his insecurities. He can’t think around him, so powerful is the hold this man has over him. Maybe he should listen to the advice of his best friend Nora and stop over thinking things. Advice that sounds great in theory, but….

That might have worked until Harry discovers Louis is keeping secrets from him; secrets that will drive them apart if Louis can’t open up to him. When the truth finally comes out, Harry is left reeling. He’s also left with an important decision. Cut Louis from his life and have his heart broken or stay with him and help him face all that troubles him, knowing that in the end, everything that matters to him may be lost.

Jacqui Melville 6 PASSION AFTER DARK (PASSION SERIES BK 1)

SYNOPSIS — When Dominick Cavallo first saw Allegra Anderson, he knew instantly that she was the one for him. Unfortunately Allegra Anderson, best-selling author of erotica and self-confessed klutz, didn’t even know he existed. That is about to change.
The night Allegra’s house mate Cassie insists she come out clubbing with her is the night that fate intervenes.
From the moment Allegra sees Dominick at the club when he rescues her from the unwanted attentions of another man, she’s spellbound by his stunning good looks. His black hair, startlingly blue eyes and the way he speaks to her, has her totally captivated by him. He is the sexiest thing she’s ever seen and the attraction is instant and intense.
Dominick disappears not long after Allegra meets him and she’s devastated that she may never see him again. A week later, he reappears, when she least expects it and she learns something about him that could change the way she feels about him. He is not human, he is vampire.
Dominick is different to the other vampires. He has no desire to live their lifestyle but they are a part of his life whether he wants them or not. Allegra doesn’t want to be part of that lifestyle either. When she meets Dominick’s sire, the brooding but sexy Fabian, she feels both unwanted attraction and fear for him. Fabian makes it clear he wants Allegra for himself and he will do anything to get her, even if it means destroying Dominick and Allegra’s relationship.
Will he end up driving them apart? Will Allegra be able to come to terms with what Dominick is? When something unexpected happens, that will change who she is forever, can their love survive?
With Allegra’s discovery of her newly acquired ‘abilities,’ suddenly everything changes. Will it all be too much? Will Fabian succeed and ruin everything? Can Dominick and Allegra survive all that is determined to tear them apart or will love truly conquer all?
