Kitten K. Jackson has been writing as long as she can remember. She wrote her first novel in 1993 and another in 1994. The first was lost in a fire. The second, about a woman who flees an abusive husband, into the arms of her married attorney, Kitten hopes to rewrite and publish later in 2015.

She was the writer and editor for the Depression Site for for two years before creating the Cheaters & Broken Hearts self-help website, which is for those affected by infidelity, in 2011. After receiving letters of thanks and passionate pleas for more help from her readers, she decided to write the Cheaters & Broken Hearts book, which she published in March of 2015. She finds solace in knowing that the pain she suffered for years gave her a purpose–to help others.

Writing fiction is one of Kitten’s passions. She has published two novels: Keeping Secrets in 2012 and Keeping Secrets II in 2013. She will publish the final book in the Keeping Secrets series in the summer of 2015.

THE  Q & A

Which of your fictional characters would you like to do the nasty with?

Camden Gabriel Garrett, my hot and very kinky vampire in my latest release, Forever Camden! I had Ian Somerhalder in mind, when I created him, so it was easy to write those yummy scenes, imagining him doing all those deliciously nasty things. The second book is going to get even more adventurous! Mmm… looking forward to writing that!

I love the fact that Cam is a strong and confident man, but with the two loves of his life (just over a century apart), he’s completely compliant, willing to submit to their every command, no matter how painful or humiliating it is. He’s so into them and what they’re doing to him that he has spontaneous orgasms, while they’re punishing him. ~Where’s my crop?~

I certainly wouldn’t mind going at it with the bad boy in my Keeping Secrets trilogy, either! Yes, he’s seriously damaged, disturbed, and dangerous, as well as beautiful and sexy to a spectacular degree, but that’s what makes him exciting, right? 😉

What couple gets your vote for having the sexiest love scene in a movie and why?

Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez in Unfaithful.  It’s NOT a love scene. It’s a SEX scene, and it’s scorching hot, because it’s rough. He makes her hit him, before he’ll give it to her. Not sure why, but… okay, I need to watch it again. ~searching through DVDs~

What is the least favorite word you’ve seen in erotica and why?

I have a three-way tie for the winner in this category—‘penis,’ ‘vagina,’ and ‘clitoris.’  Why? They’re medical/technical terms, which just seem completely out of place in erotica. Not sure why ‘breasts’ doesn’t have the same off-putting effect on me. ‘Cock’, ‘pussy,’ and ‘clit’ seem more at home in erotica.

Who was your first erotica novel dedicated to and why?

I dedicated it to my husband, because it seemed appropriate, since it was so intensely erotic, and he’s my boy toy! 😉

What medieval torture method would you love to use on a confirmed Facebook troll?

Hmmm… Let’s see… I think impaling would be a particularly good method of torture. Of course, that would result in death, but we are talking about trolls here. And to be clear, this wouldn’t be only for Facebook trolls. That would go for all of them—especially on Amazon and Goodreads!

What tame literary classic would you love to turn into a hot piece of erotica?

Again, I have a tie. Either Wuthering Heights or Gone With the Wind.

Wuthering Heights was such a passionate yet dysfunctional love story. I think that Heathcliff and Cathy would be seriously hot in bed.

In Gone With the Wind, I picture a Rhett, Scarlett, and Ashley sandwich, though I would make Ashley and Rhett much more attractive. Not sure what Scarlett ever saw in Ashley, aside from the fact that she couldn’t have him. I get that in spades!

A great erotica novel must have what three things?

Interesting characters, a good plot, and extremely hot sex scenes.  Some people like a simple series of sex scenes, but you did say ‘novel.’ I want a story that catches my attention and holds it. I want to know why the two were drawn to each other and what turns them on about one another. Though random casual sex can be hot, I like the kind of wildly intimate sex between people who have a strong connection.

The characters need to be more than just great-looking bodies. They need to be individuals, with quirks, strengths, weaknesses, faults, etc.

As far as the ‘hot’ sex… We all have our own tastes. What’s good for one might be sickening for another. You have to find your niche and rock it!

Which are the most interesting characters in a book – heroes/heroines or villains and why?

This would depend upon the book and the characters themselves.

I find the villains terribly interesting, but in some stories, the heroes/heroines are just as much so, and in some cases, they can be the same. For instance, in my first two Keeping Secrets books, I love Abbie, my main female character, but Greg is the ‘bad guy,’ and he’s also the man she loves. He’s sort of the villain and the hero, and if I had to choose, I’d have to say he’s the most interesting character in the trilogy. He’s the guy you’re afraid of, but you can’t help loving him. In Keeping Secrets III, a new villain is introduced, and she’s interesting, but not nearly as exciting as Greg.

(My Keeping Secrets trilogy is not erotica. There are a few hot sex scenes, but it’s actually a psychological thriller/dark romance.)

Give a shout-out to your most valued fan, helper, or mentor and why.

I think that would be my personal assistant, Shanna Blanton.  She’s new at the PA thing, but she’s passionate about all my books and claims to be ‘obsessed’ with my latest release, Forever Camden, the super-sexy vampire romance. And I dig that about her! LOL!   She works tirelessly for me, as well as other authors, to help share our work with the world. Not only is she a great ‘pimp,’ but she’s also a really sweet person.  Thank you, Shanna, for everything you do for me! Love you, girl!

I also must give a shout-out to my bestie, Elaine Barris! Without Elaine, I wouldn’t have this new infatuation with sexy vampires. I’m her editor, and her first novel, Master for Tonight, was the first vampire book I’d ever read. I was shaking my head, when I realized it was about a vamp, but by the time I finished it, I was on board! She ‘turned’ me! 😉

Elaine is also single-handedly responsible for creating my street team and getting me involved in events like Damn, That’s Hot Erotica. I’m not good at promoting myself, but she keeps pushing me to do it, because it has to be done!  Thanks, Elaine, for everything you’ve done to help me! Love you, girl!

“I would never have chosen to depend upon the taking of blood for my very existence. What a profane act we perpetrate. I find the thought repulsive and simultaneously intoxicating. But no matter how vile I find the practice, the craving is akin to an addict’s dire compulsion for his drug of choice, though much more intense. It cannot be completely controlled.”

Those are the words of Camden Garrett. He was turned on the night he proposed to Karina Sinclaire, the woman who controlled him with a loving, yet intense, discipline, in 1910. After sunset the following day, he drank human blood for the first time and then went to end his engagement and tell Karina he had to leave without her. That decision led to a tragedy of epic proportions that would haunt him for the rest of his unnatural life.

Just over a hundred years after that fateful night, with his mind still set to avoid ever caring for another woman, Camden meets Melanie Caine. Something intangible about her reminds him of Karina, and he’s drawn to her. He’s overwhelmed with emotions, and he fights them with all the strength he possesses, because of a desperate need to protect her… from himself.

His biggest fear is making the same mistake he made at the Sinclaire estate so long ago. Will history repeat itself? Will Camden’s fear prove valid? Is he capable of containing his all-consuming lust for Melanie’s body and her blood?

“You are vampire. Drink blood, or you will die.”

Sparks fly, when Greg returns to Pensacola to be with Abbie. When she realizes who he is, she must decide whether to take a chance with the now attractive and charming man who forcefully took her years ago, or to trust her instincts… and the police. Has he changed, or is he guilty of a double murder? Abbie’s heart says, “Go for it,” but her gut says, “Run!”

A tormented man, Greg Parker, is obsessed with a woman he raped 16 years ago but hasn’t seen since then. Over the years, he transforms himself from Johnny Moretti, the skinny geek, into a very attractive and manipulative man, not even recognizable to himself.

The woman, Abbie Kolbeck, is haunted by the memory of him–someone she trusted. When he contacts her after all those years, she is passionately drawn to him, believing the familiar feeling between them means their union is fate. She has no idea she’s falling for the man who hurt her so long ago.

After a whirlwind romance, Abbie finds that Greg is being investigated for the murder of his best friend and the friend’s girlfriend. And after a not-so-gentle session in bed, she realizes that he’s the man she forgave for attacking her.

Abbie desperately wants to believe his denials, but she’s torn between her feelings for him and her desire to protect Taylor and herself from a man the police are telling her is a murderer.

That’s right—Greg is back!
Abbie hopes her promise not to tell the police about the murders, as long as Greg stays away, will keep her and her family safe. But not even his fear of going to prison for murder could keep Greg away from Abbie. This time, however, it’s not just Abbie that he wants. He’s determined to make sure Taylor knows their secret.

After a visit with Ellen, who allowed him to be brutalized as a child, Greg comes undone. His obsession drives him to abduct Abbie and Taylor, taking them on a five-state crime spree, desperate to flee from multiple law enforcement agencies.

As Abbie struggles with her convictions, her emotions, and her overwhelming need to protect Taylor, the body count rises.

What will Abbie do, when the opportunity to escape presents itself? And what will Greg do, when faced with the choice of saving Abbie’s life or his own?

“I couldn’t let a little thing like dying keep me away from Abbie. She’s my soulmate, and I intended to keep it that way. When I told her I would never let her go, I meant it.” — Greg

“His eyes met mine, and I could see his pain. I tried to imagine what he was feeling, loving me so much and not being able to be with me due to the fact that I didn’t want him, because he was dead. But I did want him. I just didn’t want him like that. However, my heart and my body didn’t get the message.” — Abbie

Yes, Greg is back! But this time, the tables have turned. There’s a new villain in town, and her name is Sarah. She has emerged from a watery grave, and she’s hellbent on having Greg for herself, even if it means killing Abbie.
How many will have to die in this dark tale of twisted, everlasting love?
