THE Q & A
A Great Erotica Novel Must Have what Three Things?
EB — A plot, a sexy scene or two and something to make it unique so the reader can’t help but want to read more.
In 20 Years You’ll be ______?
EB — In twenty years it is my hope to have an agent firmly in place and making enough money to support my husband and myself through my writing. I want to be established under both pen names and be able to balance life a little easier between all my jobs.
Which are the most interesting characters in a book – Heroes/Heroines or Villains and why?
EB — I’ve always liked the bad guy or girl. They’re way more interesting.
Give a shout-out to your most valued Fan, Helper, or Mentor and why?
EB — Ameliah Faith and Treena Ross (and team). These ladies are tireless in their promotion and I love them.
What Genre of Erotica are you most hesitant to write about and why?
EB — I have considered writing a dubious consent book but have gone back and forth on it. Trigger issues. If you have ever been a victim of a sexual crime than you will understand where I am coming from.
What is the least favorite word you’ve seen in Erotica and why?
EB — Turgid. I mean really….what is sexy about that?
Have you ever incorporated humor into a sex scene and, if not, would you be willing to try it?
EB — Yes. I have in several of my books. It adds a sense of reality to the writing and I find it makes the reader identify with the awkward moments in life. At the moment I’m working on a shifter romance with erotic elements and plan to most definitely add a scene where there is some hilarity with the hanky panky.
What couple gets your vote for having the sexiest love scene in a movie and why?
EB — I have always liked a scene in this one particular Sherilyn Fenn movie called Meridian where she and the beast get a little wild. I think it inspired me in my writing. Wait. I know it did. *wink*
What medieval torture method would you love to use on a confirmed Facebook Troll?
EB — I would love to have them drawn and quartered publicly. Bastards. Oh-and head on a pike as an example.
What Tame Literary Classic would you love to turn into a Hot Piece of Erotica?
EB — I would just love to work with Dracula. It could be so much hotter.
BLACK MAGIC CAFE
Love that is forbidden is always the sweetest…
Elodie Conway is the owner of The Black Magic Café, where love and chocolate go hand-in-hand. She runs the enchanted café with her cousin Madison, and together, they help lovers tie the knot with the assistance of a few spells and some delectable chocolate recipes.
When journalist Jason Thibedeaux, who is also a werewolf from a rival family, runs a scathing critique of her business in his newspaper, the fur is sure to fly. He visits the café to sample their most famous culinary delights, and ends up wanting far more than what’s on the menu. Can a Thibedeaux wolf and a Conway witch truly be fated to love each other for all eternity?
THE SCIENCE OF LUST
When Grace Benedict takes a new job at an all-night lab, she knows it’s going to be a different kind of gig. What kind of lab is in the same building as a bondage club anyway? Sporting her new pencil skirt and heels, she’s raring to go—otherwise it’s move back into her parents’ basement and that is so not going to happen. What she didn’t count on was the vampires.
SPIRIT BOARD (ARCANE IMAGINARIUM 1)
Vanessa lives vicariously through the romance heroines in her overflowing bookshelf. No real man can ever measure up to the sultry, shapeshifter heroes with their feral smiles—or so she thinks until a creepy costume shop and a chance encounter with a fortuneteller shake up her ordinary life. When Vanessa’s best friend brings her to a sexy costume party, she realizes more than fur is going to fly.
Rick is an Alpha cat shifter and co-owner of the Imaginarium. When he scents the luscious Vanessa, he has no intention of letting her slip away. But Rick isn’t the only man searching for his one true love. Cian is a former Captain of the Winter Court in Faery, wielder of shadows and magic. When Fey enchantment and shifter might collide, more than mere hearts are caught in the crossfire. And as a threat looms closer with the turning of the season, both men may be the keys to Vanessa’s heart—and her survival.
