JF Silver is the sexual voice for anyone who reads erotica and are in their fifties. While his works stress the fact that age is only a number, anyone with a pulse will love his books. He’s also one of the Featured writers of the Facebook ‘Damn, This is Hot Erotica March Mega-Author Event.’
Here’s JF’s Amazon bio ~~~~
We never know which road life will take us down. J. F. Always wanted to write but a lifetime of work and family happened, passing all too quickly while his dream got pushed aside. Who knew, all these years later, that his passion would return in the form of hot group-sex stories? He’s so grateful to be able to share them and loves to dream up new fantasies for his characters to experience.
Today, he lives in Wisconsin with the love of his life, his soul mate, and the inspiration for all his work. Besides sex and writing about it, his passions include baseball, music, playing the drums, his two daughters, and especially, spoiling his grandchildren. He never gave up on his dream of being a writer. He just took the scenic route.
Now that you have a glimpse of this wonderful writer, lets see how he handles my hard-hitting questions~~~
Hi JF !!!! Thanks for dropping by. Have a seat, relax, and lets get this interview started! Question number one — What’s your latest release, and what’s your plans for 2015?
First of all, thanks so much for your time and setting up this interview and the great event we’re both participating in, John. I’m happy to be a part of it.
My latest, “Along For the Ride,” was released in October and is the third in my series, Mr. and Mrs. Average Joe. I’m currently working on the fourth which is called, “Life’s Too Short.” After three books, there was some discussion about the need to keep it from getting stale and possibly ending the series. These characters are so much fun to write and have an “anything goes” attitude that readers seem to love. They’re asking me for more so while leaving our core group, the two couples intact, we’re adding new characters and scenarios to the mix. I would love to have two or three more books released by the end of 2015 and certainly think that’s possible. I’m also looking forward to my first convention /signing as a published author this fall in Minneapolis.
Congratulations!! Now, speaking about the ‘Damn, That’s Hot Erotica Event’ in March, do you have any goals during and after your participation?
As always, these events are an opportunity to be introduced to new readers. Usually an hour, most of my takeovers find me trying to jam as much info as I can about the series into that time frame. Inevitably, I tend to forget or leave out something. Since I’m doing three hours over three days and have three books, this will let me concentrate on one each day. The groups seem to love when I share hot excerpts and I’ve got plenty of those. So, overall my plan for the event is to assure it lives up to its name, “Damn, That’s Hot Erotica!” Afterward? It would great to pick up some new readers!
Readers, I’ll try my best not to mention the ‘Damn, That’s Hot Erotica Event’ anymore. 🙂 Okay, when you write a sex scene, how much of your actual sex life do you put into it? Don’t be scared, you’re an erotica writer and should be used to such questions. 😛
The way my series began and evolved guarantees a lot of our real life fantasies and escapades are included. Let me explain. My wife and I have been married a long time. A few years ago, for no other reason than to spice things up, I wrote a hot little fantasy and gave it to her as a birthday gift. It was actually my fantasy, a three-way with another woman, but she loved it. So much in fact, that she suggested I write another, this time with “us” meeting another couple to play with. And so, Mr. and Mrs. Average Joe were born. She also offered the idea of using our middle names, Joe and Elaine, as those of the title characters. For years I kept writing these fun, sexy little stories only as a hobby for her and I to share, never intending to publish. These stories really are our fantasies though they remain just that. At least for now!
On a serious note, have you ever encountered any hate or bias about your hobby/profession from people in your real life or Facebook life — and how did you handle it?
Last year, after my first book was published, my wife and I thought we had a fun story to tell and contacted a popular newspaper columnist to see if he’d be interested in writing about us. You know, “fifty-something grandfather writes sexy story for his wife, publishes, etc.” He was intrigued but wanted to read the book first. I sent it to him and waited. Two weeks passed before he sent an e-mail that said it, “curled his toes.” We set up an interview and he brought a photographer, which is where the trouble began. We had a great time telling our story and posing for photos during a two hour session, not giving a thought about the possible feedback. Let’s just say, not all members of the family are as open-minded about such things. Seeing family photos in an article “glorifying smut” also brought some heat to both ourselves and the columnist from the reading public. But, overall the feedback was awesome and we were invited to do a popular morning radio show two weeks later. Of course, any exposure like this is invaluable which was why we did it in the first place. It certainly helped with sales, too. As authors, we need and love reviews but not everyone is going to like what we do. We’ve all had those awful one-star beauties where you wonder if they were reading the same book you wrote. You just have to shrug and move on. Someone who wasn’t so keen on my literary career recently asked me if I regretted writing the type of books that I do. No fucking way! No regrets at all. A new reader just sent me a message thanking me for writing a hot book with characters her own age that she could relate to. That tells me I’m doing something right.

Would you say your sex life has improved since you started writing erotica and, if so, how?
Oh yeah! As mentioned above, this began as a way to spice things up after thirty years of marriage. It’s been working well since the start and my wife has truly become my muse. How lucky am I to have a partner that helps me dream up wild sex scenarios? We had always read erotica going back to things like Penthouse Forum in the 80’s. The “Fifty Shades” phenomenon a few years ago led us to publishing but erotica certainly wasn’t new to us. Who’d have thought we’d actually be turning people on all over the world with our books?! We definitely practice what we preach: it does get better with age!
Great to hear!! Alright, last question. You’re in a bookstore, open up a novel, and a Genie appears. He promises to make your next book a bestseller but you’d have to lose one of your five senses for a year – hearing, vision, touch, taste, or smell. What would you do?
I’m sure I’d regret it, but for a bestseller I’m going to give up the sense of smell for a year. I could use a bestseller! I could still see, hear, touch and taste. Yeah. Fuck it! Give me that bestseller!
Thanks for the great interview, JF. I wish you much success in the future, especially at the “Damn, That’s Hot Erot . . . um . . . in the near future!! 😛

Sexy read involving older main characters in an established relationship November 5, 2014 By Melissa Kleen Format:Kindle Edition
This is a very steamy read about an older couple looking for a way to shake up their love life and fulfill some sexual fantasies now that their kids are off to college. Elaine and Joe have been married a long time and still love each other dearly but would really like to add another dimension to their love life.
I really liked how Elaine and Joe didn’t just jump into the swinging scene but slowly got to know another couple and nurtured the attraction between the couples. I think both husband’s reactions to their wives attraction to each other was wonderful. Instead of feeling insecure and jealous they supported their wives as they explored different avenues of their sexuality.
I was very impressed because at no time did the book ever become sleazy or make it seem like anyone in either relationship was just looking for an opportunity to cheat. This is simply a wonderful book about two established couples who are looking for a little extra spice but still want to cherish their partners.
SYNOPSIS — Just how close can two happily married couples become? Joe and Elaine, along with their “friends with benefits,” Mika and John, return for the second helping of Mr. and Mrs. Average Joe. Away from the bedroom, the four souls share mutual pleasures while discovering new and exciting passions. Another fantasy is fulfilled when a night out results in a sexy surprise reunion with a very special friend. But things really heat up

Along for the Ride needs to come with a warning label recommending a cold shower afterwards 😉 Hot to the touch! Be sure to turn on the A.C when reading! 🙂
From book one, I had fallen in love with these characters so it was amazing to read how far Joe, Elaine, Mika and John have come. It was obvious how connected they have become with one another. Yes, the sex got hotter but their friendship and companionship got even stronger. I’m reluctant to think this may be the end to their story…
To those who have read the first two books, you should definitely read this one as well! No disappointments in this installment! And to those who hadn’t read any of them, I recommend getting them all! With all that being said, JF is a talented author and I look forward to reading future literary works whether it be Joe and Elaine’s continued story or completely new characters.
